CARBON BLADES

The original Opinel knife series, the ones that started the iconic brand 120 years ago. Made of XC 90 Carbon steel this knives can literally be sharpen to a razor's edge but require a little care. We recommend the carbon series to anyone that know how to care for prevent rust on such metal.
 

STAINLESS CLASSIC

The all time classic Opinel in a wide variety of handle colors and handle material. The 12c27 sandvik MOD stainless steel blade (called INOX in french) will give you years of carefree use.
 

SLIM EFFILE KNIVES

A genuine metamorphosis of the classic Opinel knife, the Slim version is, for many, a natural progression in terms of both shape and function. Light, efficient and incredibly durable the Opinel garden knives will get the job done. The range varies from the simple No8 garden knife to the giant No13 folding. The characteristics of the Opinel blade make this knives the ideal tools for cutting, peeling, slicing,etc... Some users put Opinel knives to the test by using them as carving tools, can openers or screwdrivers. Although Opinel knives are not designed for theses uses, they can do the job. We recommend the Opinel garden line to saw, cut and graft.
 

MY FIRST OPINEL

My first Opinel AKA "Opinel Junior" features a 12C27 MOD Stainless round tipped blade. The name says it all... Available in Beechwood and color handles. Please! Never let an Opinel "first User" use a knife without supervision.

CHAPERON KNIVES

Wood worker in France for the last 25 years, Bruno Chaperon was trained at the famous French "Arts Décoratifs" and "Beaux-arts de Paris". Mr. Chaperon developed and patented the intricate "sinusoidal" marqueterie you see on the knife above. This intricate technique assures that every single Opinel is unique. The Chaperon knives are part of the Opinel line of products and have their own SKU.

Ebauches" as they are called in France are finally available in the U.S. This knife's handle is intended to be carved in to whatever you can dream of (if you have the abilities of course). This knife can also be left "as is" after a little sending if you like a longer knife handle and a larger grip.
